Firstly congratulations on your deal how you feeling?

Very well thank you. Busyyyyyy

 You go by the rap name Elro how did that come about?

My second name is Llewellyn-Rowe, my parents are pretentious enough to give me and my sister double barrel names, so the L and the Rowe… Elro

You have a video coming out Monday with Mike Skinner – what was it like to work with Mike?

Great. I’ve listened to his stuff since I was a kid so it was a bit surreal at 1st but you soon realise he’s just a nice guy just the same as everyone else.

People have heard/seen your SBTV F64 and think you are a comedy rapper how do you feel about that?

Well people who’d just have seen those 2 videos probably would think that yeah… But nah I don’t just do that. I enjoy doing comedy but I do more serious stuff too, you’ll hear it soon.

What’s the dream for your career ?

You know what, I don’t really care that much I’m not craving fame at all, getting noticed is actually quite hectic, its not for me. So to be honest I just wanna make a living out of it, but if it goes better than that then I’ll just have to deal with fame haah

You are a very talented lyricist and not one of the conveyor belt pop stars – how do you feel that you will be going up against them?

Well I think the internet has given birth to lots of new exciting artists, people are getting tired of the same old manufactured bollocks that is thrown at them, so I think most people are ready for change.

What exciting projects have you got lined up?

So far we’re doing a few singles, I have a mixtape out April 30th also! And also some live stuff and working on all that.

Who or what inspires you?

Just everyday situations really. I think if you rap about what you know best (cliche as fuck) you will connect with a lot more people. But in terms of people… Nas, Eminem, Earl Sweatshirt, Biggie bla bla bla

If you weren’t in music what would you be doing?

No Idea sat in some office somewhere pissed off probably

Background -  I started playing guitar when I was seven and learnt to play by listening to a nirvana CD.

How would you describe your music?

I think its my own sound, I don’t try to sound like anything or anyone when I write music I let it come from within.

What’s your inspiration?

Mostly nature, you can’t escape it where I live and it has this natural power and energy which I have always had a strong connection with. Also people because I have a lot of empathy for other human beings and want to create consciousness through my music and spread a positive message.

You have a natural born talent in music – do you find it frustrating to go against the many manufactured artists of today?

I don’t find it frustrating I just hope to see a lot more music that is concious getting recognition because there are a lot of artists out there who have the platform to really educate people about the situation the youth are in today and its up to us to make a change and help make the dream a reality.

How did it feel to win the Urban category at Live & Unsigned? – would you describe your music as Urban?

Yeah it was a great achievement and I met some really great people too, I would say that I’m whatever you want me to be. If urban is the music for the people then I’m that but I try not to class myself as anything.

I LOVE your song Olivia can you tell us the story behind this – Is Olivia a real person?

Yes that song came about when my girlfriend went away on holiday and instead of writing a letter I just wrote a song, it just wrote itself and yes she’s real! Aha!

What can we expect from you in 2012?

You can expect to be seeing a lot more of me and my music, I plan to tour and spread the word.
