Milly’s always despised the way so much artistic expression gets hijacked and stifled by the endlessly emerging pre-packaged talent shows. They’re all too happy to chew up and spit out a conveyor belt of plastic pop acts whilst financing a select few fat cats in the process. She’s on a mission to find today’s true talent. Musicians who play on their own terms: fresh – raw – real.

Being the daughter of a former premiership football player and attending the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School, you might think all she’s achieved has been served from silver spoons; but that’s not the case. Having to leave home at the age of sixteen with nothing, Milly found herself homeless and ended up living in a young person’s hostel for two years.

But surrounded by all that follows such a downwardly spiralling situation, she fought back. The one time student of an academy for fame, graduated with honours from the school of hard knocks. With a lot of work and most of all an unshakable passion for music, Milly learned that you don’t always have to take established routes and play by the rules to get to the top. For the last few years she’s been hosting ‘Milly’s World’ at well known venues in London’s music hotbed, Camden Town. Showcasing music’s rising stars, she’s determined to prove that originality is thriving and that performers can shine through without signing their lives away to television judges. With Eliza Doolittle, Maverick Sabre, Wretch 32 and ‘The Midnight Beast’ all playing sets in the past, Milly means business.
Whether you’re here to listen or perform, welcome to Milly’s World…
